There are a variety of factors that consist the monetary portion of this project. First and foremost, we will need to procure the materials to construct the bridge. This involves not only lumber and woodworking materials, but also concrete in order to extend the existing bases of the bridge. There are also other costs to take into account. These include: supplies (gloves, trash bags, etc.) tools, and food and hydration for the volunteers.
Currently, I predict the cost of this project to be around $1500. This will be used for the expenses mentioned above, and since we are raising funds in the name of Rescate Playas Borinquen, any surplus will be donated to them.

Note from the President of Rescate Playas Borinquen:
"Rescate Playas Borinquen nonprofit organization is hosting Earth Day 2016 in conjunction with the Boy Scouts this year to continue to revitalize the area. The mission of our nonprofit is to restore Ramey's recreational areas and protect nature for the enhanced security and enjoyment of both locals and tourists alike. It is our firm belief that the motor to our local economy are these areas via tourism. Sadly, since the Ramey Base closed in the 1970's most of these places have become abandoned. Project by project we are trying to fix that! With the help of donors like you, that dream can become possible. For more information checkout our website. We are also on Facebook and Instagram."
