Eagle Town Park Ice Rink

Tax deductible
UPDATE: Jan 24, 2024

Our sweeper unexpectedly broke down last week and will need $2,400 in repairs. We are extremely thankful for the loaner from the Town of Eagle and for John Eaton’s assistance with repairs. The rink liners are also nearing the end of their useful life, and we have an opportunity to buy new ones from Wylaco Supply on sale for $3,200.

We need help raising funds for these expenses. Please consider making a tax deductible donation through this fund me account. Since the GoFundMe effort was launched a few years ago, we've managed to raise enough to make several much-needed upgrades and repairs to the rink's equipment. This latest issue prompts us to ask for your continued support so that we can keep the young (and the young at heart!) skating with friends and family.

Thanks very much for considering -

ABOUT US

Each winter the Eagle Ice Dads, a group of volunteers from town, build and maintain ice rinks right in front of the Centennial Park stage. These rinks are free to use and open to the public. Andy Clark is the unofficial leader of the group, and his company Alliance Moving Systems helps foot the bill for some of the materials, storage, etc.

In true community spirit, there is a job box at the park with assorted gear that is free to use. As it's all donated, there are no guarantees about sizes or quantities available. If you do get a new pair of skates or have some sitting around in your attic, put them to good use and drop them in the job box for everyone to enjoy. Stop by the park most any night for some skating with family, stick and puck work, or just hanging out by the fire pit with friends.

WHY THE FUNDRAISER?

The rink runs on donations already; time, labor, dedication and equipment. That last piece (gear) has a lifespan and at times, things reach the end of their usable life and need to be replaced. Severe weather can also impact our ability to get the rink open. You donations help underwrite the purchase of a few pieces of equipment (at the moment, a reliable 4-wheeler with a blade to help clear snow after severe weather) that will help us make the rink as available as possible. We also maintain a gear closet that loans skates, helmets and other gear to kids and families who are just beginning their skating journey. Your assistance helps us spread the gift of hockey to our entire community.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and consider. We promise to transform your generosity, no matter how small, into an asset that the whole community can enjoy. You can find out more at our website - Eagle Town Park Ice Rink

Thank you once again for your kindness - come skate with us!
