During the week commencing 20th May 2019, the Defibrillator which is situated at the home ground of Eagle Sports Football Club (Thornton Road Recreation Ground, Great Sankey, Warrington) went missing from the cabinet shown (situated in the Changing Rooms). With no information as to its whereabouts, it can only be assumed that the unit has been stolen. The matter has been reported to the Police, however, currently, we are without this vital life-saving equipment which creates a risk to all users of the facility, not only Eagle Sports FC, but also Eagle Rugby Union FC and Eagle Junior FC and all visitors to the site.
With the initial outlay for the Defibrillator a significant cost to a club like ourselves, we require support to raise the funds to purchase a replacement unit in time for the start of our new 2019/2020 season, which will start in early August.
Please donate whatever you can to help us achieve our target of replacing the unit by August 2019.
With an outstanding response to our initial efforts to raise funds for the new unit, we are now aiming to raise enough to also purchase an outside cabinet for the Defibrillator which will not only ensure the security of the new unit, but give availability to any users of the facility 24/7, should there be no organised activities taking place at the time of an emergency.
We thank everyone in advance for their generosity and for taking an interest in our efforts.
