Eagle Scout Project for Garden Spot Park Willamina

Hello! My name is Carson Wagner and I’m doing my Eagle Scout project.

An Eagle Scout project is something a Life Scout in Boy Scouts does to reach the highest rank. It’s one of the final requirements and the Scout has to demonstrate that they can plan, lead, organize and execute a project.

I am doing my project in Willamina, Oregon at Garden Spot Park. The project will be adding to the park to represent veterans and the military. I will be adding flags around the gazebo for each branch of the military, there will also be an American flag and a prisoner of war missing in action flag.

There’s an old fountain wall in the park and half of it was destroyed. I will be rebuilding that half of the wall.

I will also be building a bench around a tree. The point of this is to provide more places to sit and we will be putting a plaque on the bench saying it’s in honor of veterans.

There’s a plaque already in the ground by a tree in the park and it’s slightly overgrown and covered. I will be cleaning it up.

My budget is $850 dollars. This will cover bricks, mortar, wood, screws, flags, flag poles, powerwasher and a plaque.
