Zane's Eagle Scout Bike Repair & Safety Fundraiser

Hello! I am currently a Life Scout in Glen Ridge’s troop 855.  My final requirement to become an Eagle Scout is to complete my Eagle Project.  My project spreads awareness of bike safety, and the physical legacy of this project will be a public bike repair station in the center of my town at the train station.  Community members would easily be able to add air to their tires, fix a flat or do other minor repairs.  The way I plan on distributing the bike safety information is with flyers. I will ask the Scouts in my troop to help distribute the flyers with more bike safety information in the coming weeks. 
 
I am excited about this project as it supports cycling which is one of my passions and it benefits our community in a few ways:

·  Residents will be safer cyclists by following the guidelines I provide in my flyer  

·  Cyclists will have a central location to repair their bikes

·  Biking is environmentally friendly reducing our carbon footprint

·  Cycling is a healthy (and fun!) form of transportation, especially during the current pandemic

The way you can help me and our community is by donating any amount to this GoFundMe campaign.  My goal is to raise $1,700 by Thanksgiving, and any donations above that will be go to purchasing new bike racks at the Glen Ridge train station.
