Eagle Project - Weis Cabin #166 Renovation

My name is Brett Huber. I am a scout in BSA Venture Crew 289. I am asking for donations to fund my Eagle project. I am repairing and renovating cabin #166 for the New Weis Center (formerly known as Weis Ecology Center). The people of the New Weis Center are a significant part of the scouting community. They offer several scouting experiences, including merit badge classes, camping, and other activities. In addition, the New Weis Center is dedicated to ecology awareness and conservation efforts.

Due to a combination of animal activity and weather, the summer cabins are in a state of disrepair. My repairs to cabin #166 will include painting, patchwork, window/screen door replacements, and other needed maintenance and repairs. Upon completion of the project, Weis plans to use this cabin for its summer programs and activities.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am unable to conduct in-person or regular fundraising. I am utilizing GoFundMe in the hope that I can make the renovation of this cabin a reality and support Weis in its continued efforts to bring beneficial educational programs and activities to the children and adults in our community. Any leftover funds or supplies will be donated directly to the New Weis Center for future projects, construction, or repairs.
