Eagle Project Fundraiser - Kasisi Children's Home

Hello all,

I’m Saahil Manekar, a Junior at Dougherty Valley High School and a Life Scout in Troop 888 San Ramon, California. For my Eagle Project, I led a team to collect medical, educational supplies, and books from the San Ramon community, for Kasisi Children’s Home, an orphanage in Zambia, Africa. My family has been donating to the orphanage for 40 years, and I wanted to continue the legacy.

For my project, I led 20 scouts and 5 adults by creating an Amazon Wish List of supplies, passing out door hangers to 800 houses in the community, and packaging the collected goods in boxes for shipping. We collected 140 items which will arrive at the orphanage on August 20th. For more details about my project, please watch the video.

Now, I need your help to cover the cost of printing door hangers, purchasing packaging supplies, and shipping to Zambia which came to $900.

I would sincerely appreciate your donation because it will make a big difference in the lives of the children at Kasisi Children’s Home.
