Eagle Project For Alpharetta HS Marching Band
My Name is Aidan Batchelor, I am 17 years old, and a Boy Scout from Troop 10 in Johns Creek, GA. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Rank, and have planned an Eagle Project for the Alpharetta High School Marching Band.
My Eagle Project will be to create a portable folding frame for a background canvas that is to be used in halftime and competition shows. This background frame will allow for more complex stories to be told through the shows performed by the marching band and will add another level of depth to the performance.
I will also be building rolling mirrors for the band to use to practice with their visual sections of the show. They will be shatterproof and built on a durable frame, so they can be used on and off the field to allow for the improvement of the show. Both parts of the project can be used for years to come, and act as a template for future Eagle Projects for the band. My current goal is to finish my project by the end of August before the marching band season kicks off.
I have been in the school band program for 3 years of middle school, and this is my 4th year of high school band, and I am currently a member of the Alpharetta HS Marching Band. I wanted to pick something for my Eagle Project that was close to me and brought value back to something that brought me so much throughout life. The band program has been huge for me, and has given me a supportive group of peers and teachers throughout school, and has been one of the most fun activities of my life.
Any donation small or large would be a huge help and would mean the world to me. Any funds beyond my initial goal will be used to build additional mirrors. Thank you so much for your contribution!
