My Eagle Scout Service Project, “Midnight Mission: Basketball Court Restoration and Landscaping,” will transform the outdoor space at the Midnight Mission by restoring a faded, unevenly painted basketball court and revitalizing the dry, barren planters at the facility’s entrance. On May 18, 2025, volunteers will help power wash the court, tape and repaint the key and court lines in vibrant colors, and use a custom stencil for clean, accurate markings. At the same time, we’ll improve the planters by soaking and replacing old soil, then planting low-maintenance succulents generously donated by a benefactor, creating a welcoming, sustainable green space. This project will provide Midnight Mission residents with a safe, attractive area for recreation and relaxation, supporting both wellness and community pride. Volunteers are needed for landscaping, painting, measuring, photography, and security, with all necessary supplies, protective gear, and refreshments provided. We’re also seeking donations of materials and funds to cover project costs, and every contribution-whether time, supplies, or financial support-will help make a lasting difference for those served by the Midnight Mission.
