Saving Brittni's Sight.

Donation protected
In a few weeks we will be celebrating my Granddaughter's second birthday and hoping that a procedure called Crosslinking will save her Mother's sight. My Daughter, Brittni Ferguson has a genetic disease called Keratoconus. The link here explains more. http://www.nkcf.org/keratoconus-symptoms-and-diagnosis/. She was diagnosed during a routine eye exam just under three months ago.  She has tried to use the contact lenses to slow the degenertive process down to no avail. She is rapidly going blind.

Dr. Kenneth Beckman of Comprehensive Eye Care of Central Ohio has excepted her into a clinical trial for the Crosslinking http://www.nkcf.org/corneal-collagen-cross-linking/. One eye will be treated or receive a placebo, the other can receive the treatment at the same time if she can fund the procedure. He said that she is an excellent candidate to receive positive results and stop the progression of her disease.  Her procedure is set for October 2, 2014.

Please consider a donation to to help fund her Crosslinking treatment.  Dr. Beckman informed us on September 2, 2014 that within a year she will have most likely lost all of her sight and be on a wait list for cornea transplants for both eyes.  Any amount will be appreciated and thank you for your consideration.

In one year we hope that Brittni will actually be able to see her daugher as she celebrates her third birthday.
