Move mountains for Izzy

I want to go to Ecuador in 2020 to help transform the lives and communities of the indigenous people of Ecuador, help replant trees as part of a conservation effort, and improve the environment by cleaning up the beaches. 

I am hoping to raise the funds to help me go on a four week long expedition to Ecuador in 2020, with my school and Camps International.


The main aim of our trip is to improve the quality of life for local communities by helping build a kitchen in the local school and teaching English to the local children. Past projects have included building schools, medical centres, and other necessary buildings. 

The second part of the expedition is to help with conservation efforts by learning first hand about the problems Ecuador and we as a world are facing. We will then help build tree nurseries and plant native trees to help reforest the Amazon rainforest.


The third part of our expedition is to assist in the environmental effort to help clean up the beaches as part of their aim to support and conserve the marine life around Ecuador. So as well as cleaning the beaches we will be helping the local village close to an important turtle nesting site safeguard the turtles habitat. 


I want to make a difference, and I know I can make a change. I may not be able to change the world... just yet...  HOWEVER I can change the world for one person, one family, one turtle, or one tree! 
                              BUT only with your help! 

The total included cost of the trip is £4240, however I also need to pay for additional things that aren’t included, such as visas, insurance, vaccinations, and buy equipment and suitable clothing like walking boots etc which is why my target is £4500.

I am beyond excited to do this and I can’t wait to throw myself into fundraising! I have already signed up to walk 1000 miles in 2019 to improve my fitness and raise money for my trip!
