North Shore Horse Rescue and Sanctuary

Thank you for considering a donation to North Shore Horse Rescue and Sanctuary.  The Organization is a Not-for-Profit 501c3 operation, in Baiting Hollow New York.    It was founded by Laurel Palermo and Thomas Renzetti in 2002 with the rescue efforts of a mustang from the Bureau of Land Management.
Our Mission is to foster, care and rehabilitate abused and neglected horse in a stress free environment. To date we have rescued 42 horses and when possible adoptions take place. Horses that have special needs are permanent residents. We are proud to hold verification from the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries for our human treatment of horses and fiscal accountability.
Our goal is to raise $5000.00 for yearly medical exams, shots and dentals for our horses. Currently we house 13 rescues, 10 of which are seniors. The cost of these procedures per horse is $350.00, which gives us a small cushion for unforeseen illness or injury should they occur. Each one of our rescues has a custom health plan to insure successful rehabilitation and forever homes for those who are adoptable. All donations are tax deductible, and no amount is to small.
