Hi everyone. As you may know already, I have 3 beautiful pets, one of which is Woody, a Chihuahua mix breed who is a ball of love and sunshine and cute wet kisses.
In 2016, we aimed to find a friend for our 1-year-old dog Bonnie, so we went to the shelter in Orange. Lo and behold, there was Woody in a space shared with one other dog. Woody was an excited dog who we chose to adopt that day. Despite the pet shelter saying Woody was “returned” due to issues co-existing with other dogs, we found Woody to be a very good dog and loving at that.
Woody was not only a loyal dog but also a happy and cute little dog that enjoyed walks anywhere possible, peeing in every new destination.
REAL update story: Woody is now 10 years old and has shown signs of sickness this week. Woody lost about 5 pounds and started to slow down during walks and lie in his bed with an increased loss of appetite. This was immediately noticed by David, my brother. We took him to the ER and then to the Fullerton Vet.
DIAGNOSIS: Woody has been found to have a pretty serious hernia which is pretty serious and NEEDS surgery urgently. This also was speculated to lead to other conditions such as his pancreatitis and heart murmur.
We truly love our dog and want the best for him. We truly don’t want him to be in pain. Please, if possible, we would appreciate any funds that can assist in helping him feel better and be in less pain. Woody is truly a good dog and he has the cutest wet kisses and the biggest amount of love to give every single day, unconditionally. Thank you! Anything would be appreciated.
