I am a mom of 3 wife to Jim and i have Ewings Sarcoma.A rare tyle of cancer that usually effects children but surprise i am 48! I have cancer in my lungs and a tumor in my left leg .I am looking at drivin an hour away for treatments 5 days a week .They stopped me from working June 30 2014 and have no finacial aid just my husbands paycheck now .A friend suggested i create a page so here I am !!! I have a 12 month fight ahead of me with bone surgery on my femur in the new year.They have not ruled out amputation whichs is scarey but it is what it is :) I will fight hard for my children and my husband and my amazing friends .May god take me in his arms and comfort me when i need it !
Ewings Sarcoma is a childhood cancer that effects children...i am a 48 year old adult and i have it in my left thigh and femur bone the tumor surrounds my whole left thigh into my knee and hip. I also have it in my lungs .They are giving me the most aggressive chemo offered and it comes with lots of risks heart muscle, damage ,tingley finger tips, hair loss so many more .Because of the cancer in my lungs there is a 30 % survival rate which kinda sucks but i am a fighter...once we get it outta my lungs we will do surgery to get it out of my leg and radiation to keep it out and shrink it before surgery.My surgeon will cut pieces of the bone until she cannot take any more then she will replace the bone and if my body rejects it i will loose my leg :(
I have broken down some costs we have a benefit plan but it covers only 80% so my co pay is $120 every 3 weeks Gas is $40 per trip its an hour away I drive a truck :( Parking is $100 for a ten day pass add it up for 12 months and its about $5000 and thats not including drs apointments blood work testing on my heart and ct scans :( we have a long fight ahead of us!!!!
TO BE CLEAR AT NO TIME HAVE WE OR ARE WE ASKING FOR MONIES TO COVER CHEMO THATS 100% COVERED IN CANADA.
