My sister Felicia is one of those rare souls who can’t walk past an animal in need. She’s currently fostering a sweet cat named Patches, whose dad is a homeless veteran doing his best to care for him despite incredibly tough circumstances.

Patches is suffering from painful bladder stones and urgently needs a cystotomy—a surgical procedure to remove them. Felicia stepped in to help as his dad can’t afford the care, and now she’s doing everything she can to make sure Patches gets the treatment he needs.

Felicia has always been a fierce advocate for animals. Whether it’s rescuing strays, volunteering at shelters, or fostering pets with nowhere else to go, she gives her whole heart (and often her own wallet) to make sure no creature suffers.

This surgery is estimated to cost around $2,000, and while Felicia is prepared to cover whatever isn’t raised, I know we can help ease that burden. Every dollar counts toward giving Patches a pain-free life and showing Felicia—and his dad—that compassion still thrives.
