Creating Future Engineers

Si Se Puede Foundation was founded by in 1993, and became incorporated as a 501(c)3, non-profit organization in 1998. The Si Se Puede Foundation (SSP) is a prevention and advocacy organization that encourages its participants to be stakeholders in their community.

The organization’s three main service components include educational programming, community activities & advocacy, and recreational activities for youth. The organization focuses on school and community risk factors that are barriers to educational achievement including, delinquency, gang affiliation, and family/school/community detachment.

Mission: Si Se Puede Foundation is a bridge builder and leader in providing community programs that improve the quality of life and strengthen communities, families, and children.

Vision: Si Se Puede (SSP) Foundation will be a continually recognized community organization that empowers children and families to have a “Si Se Puede” mentality through participation in SSP programs such as science and technology, college readiness, mentoring, youth sports, neighborhood revitalization, the arts, life-skills, education, and tutoring.

History: The Si Se Puede Foundation was founded in 1993 and became a 501c (3) non-profit organization in 2000. The foundation is a prevention and advocacy organization, in the Phoenix East Valley, that encourages program participants to be leaders in their communities. The foundations three-service delivery components include educational programming, community activities and advocacy, and recreational activities for youth. The Si Se Puede focus is on school and community risk factors that are barriers to educational achievement and attainment. Si Se Puede is a highly recognized leader with an excellent service record and commitment to the delivery of essential programs to underrepresented communities in the East Valley. The foundation is committed to providing the highest level of educational programs to youth that includes such programs as: calculus competitions, physics, chemistry and an award winning robotics program.

The STEM/Robotics and Scholars Programs have had tremendous support from students, parents, school administrators, business leaders and government officials in Chandler. The Si Se Puede STEM/Robotics program is ranked #2 in the State of Arizona based on student competitions.

The foundation primarily serves low-income communities throughout the Cities of Chandler, Queen Creek and Mesa. The students who participate in its programs are predominately  between the ages of 6 to 18, who attend Title 1 schools and reside in at-risk neighborhoods within the Cities of Chandler and Mesa.
