Help Henry's Heart!

Hello everyone!  My name is Stephanie and I've created this page to help support my best friends Erica and Henry as they journey into a a healthy future together.  Erica and Henry were engaged this past spring, bought their first house in July and are now about to face one of the most difficult experiences that most will never have to encounter.  In just a little over a week Henry will undergo open heart surgery.  After a recent visit to the doctor Henry was told that it was imperative for him to have his aortic valve replaced asap.  

Nearly eight years ago Henry learned that he was born with a bicuspid (leaky) valve.  It was then he under went emergency surgery and had a pig valve inserted to allow him to live a normal, fulfilled life.  Unfortunatly that time has come again.  This time the surgeon will be putting in a mechanical valve which will last from 25-30 years, a more permanet solution.  

For those of you that know Henry, you know what a kind, caring, compassionate and highly dedicated man he is.  He worked so hard to earn his degree and land a job doing what he feels most passionate about.  Due to the extremely invasive surgery Henry will have to be out of work for no less than three months (without pay) and full recovery is expected to be six months.  Insurance will cover 80% of the total cost which leaves Erica and Henry with an out of pocket balance of over $10,000.  I ask that you do what you can to help my great friends as they prepare for life ahead, every penny helps.  I can assure you that every cent that is donated will go directly to Henry's medical bill.
