Save Kashmir : Flood Disaster

" I want to bring to your notice the on-going floods in Jammu and Kashmir. More than 50 villages including major town like srinagar, shopian, pulwama are submerged into water. The telephone links and other means of communication have stopped....the road link between Jammu - Srinagar is also de-linked. Right now the people are in need of blankets, Boats, Medicine, drinking water, food...The rescue operations are on from govt side but more has to be done. If the rains stop, and water recedes from these areas, we will get to know the actual disaster". The inundation of water and the sand deposits from the landslides/mudslides in people houses will render them uninhabitable for a long time. Moreover, the onset of winter in coming months will further add to the community's critical needs.
