Help our lovely Reverend Mary

We have all benefited from the love, guidance and sheer joy that radiates from Reverend Mary Yankee.  She has given so much of herself over the years to family, friends and clients – and it is not easy for her to say that she needs our help.  Which is why we are saying it for her.

Some of you are already aware that Mary has fought many battles in recent years, including traumatic brain injury and cancer, and won!  However, the universe has decided to throw a double challenge her way and she not only faces the return of her cancer, but her home has been sold and she must relocate at very short notice.

The good news about Mary’s cancer is that the treatment recommended by her oncologist is immunotherapy, and that there are currently no plans for invasive surgery.  However, as you will all be aware, the cost of medical treatment is high and for pre-existing conditions it is very hard to be covered by insurance.

Please would you consider donating to this campaign?  We are hoping to raise $7,500 to cover medical costs and Mary’s move to a new home, including removal costs, deposit, and at least the first months’ rent. Every little helps: just $10 from each of us will help us reach our target but if you wish to donate more, that would be wonderful.
