Help Family Be Together

On Wednesday, January 3rd, my older sister Katie died in her sleep at 35 years old. We are heartbroken. She was a beautiful, kindhearted, compassionate, caring woman. She had the biggest heart, loved to be silly and gave the most wonderful hugs.
Our lives will never be the same without her. There is such an ache without her here.
Today we now ask for help. Help to get our family together to grieve the loss of a dear sister and celebrate the life she lived and the time we shared with her.
There were three of us, now there are only two sisters, my heart breaks. I want more than anything for my little sister to be here with her family. She will need to fly home from North Carolina.
Our cousin Shawna will also need to fly home, from New York. She is like a sister. When we grew up there were few of us cousins, and it would not be right without her.
So many of you have been so wonderful to our family in this hard time. Many have asked if there is anything you can do. With the costs of funerals and flights, any monetary help would be very appreciated. If we go above the $1,000 , any extra will go to my parents to help with Katie's funeral costs.
My sister-in-law is setting up for meals, so please contact me if you would like information on that.
