Medical Expenses // Family Support

I would like to start off by thanking you for taking some time to read our story, and thank you in advance for any and all donations.

For those of you who know me, asking people for help is not something that I do, but today my family and I are in need of help that is beyond what we can provide.

Almost two years ago our mother was diagnosed with lymphoma, and her diagnosis is extremely aggressive. My siblings and I immediately thought that if our mother stayed in Puerto Rico, she wouldn't have the medical help that she would need to fight this terrible disease.  We convinced her to move to Pennsylvania with my sister, where the medical treatment she needed would be readily available.  My sister quit her job and became a full time caregiver for our mom.  At that point, we thought she could get some government assistance for being a full time caregiver and was turned away.   In making the transition to Pennsylvania, she was informed that she would have to travel back and forth to New York to get the best treatment possible, as the help in Pennsylvania was not going to be sufficient for her diagnosis. For every time that mom needs to get her chemotherapy, my sister has to drive her two in a half hrs to 3 hrs there and back, has to pay for parking which is ridiculously expensive, she has to get gas and food while also taking care of my mother's husband whom has dementia.  My sister and her husband have really taken it upon themselves to care for my mother and her husband despite of their diagnosis and their financial hardships.

With time passing, my sister and her husband have fallen behind with their bills, a lot of sleepless nights and now find themselves in a position where they feel as if this situation is taking a toll on them, and there is no way out of the financial stressors that hinder what they can provide.

My sister has a heart of gold, and always has made it a point to put family first regardless of what she is going through, and always being there for others.  She is in desperate need of support now.

Please help me make the holidays a little easier for her and her family.

May God Bless you all.

Thank you for your support and prayers.

Merry Christmas!
