In loving memory of Jontelle Thorneycroft
1972-2020
Forever in our hearts ♥️

Last year my mum slipped in the bathroom and hit her head, she was taken into hospital and misdiagnosed, a week later they ordered an emergency CT scan and found that she had a huge frontal lobe bleed on the brain, it was so touch and go and the doctors told us to prepare for the worse as she was unlikely to pull through!

Through nothing short of a miracle my strong mum slowly but surely started her road to recovery , she spent the next 6months in hospital getting stronger and stronger by the day. It was now time for her to move into a rehabilitation care home where she would continue on the road to recovery until she was well enough to to live alone again.
We felt like the luckiest family in the world taking her away from the hospital knowing that she had been given another chance❤️

Only 6 months later my mum collapsed in the care home and was rushed into hospital where we were given the worst news we could have ever expected, my mum had cancer, a grade 4 brain tumour (Glioblastoma) which is a very aggressive rare type of cancer that affects only 3% of the population, she was given 6-12 weeks to live. I haveno words to explain the devastation that this news brought to us all

We didn’t leave mums side, every second felt so precious, it was hard to believe that at some point in the near future she was no longer going to be here with us. It didn’t seem real or fair that she had to leave us at the young age of 47, she had overcome so much already and had her whole life ahead of her.

They say you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone , well we did and that was the hardest part knowing it was going to be taken away from us! Unfortunately after 4 short weeks my beautiful mum passed away. The only blessing was it was surrounded by loved ones and knowing how truly loved she was. My family held her hand and watched her take her last breath, it is something I will never forget, the most bitter sweet feeling I’ll ever have, heartbreaking to lose her but somehow comforting to know her suffering was finally over.

There are no words that can explain the grief you feel after loosing a loved one. I urge you all to live every day like it’s your last because life is a blessing and should never be taken for granted. Tell your loved ones how much you love them, how much they mean to you and hold them close because you never know what tomorrow brings ❤️

It had been a tough year for the entire family but especially my younger siblings Joshua (11)and Adeena(10). I would really like to do something special with them in our mums memory so I am kindly asking for donations. I know my mum would prefer this to flowers.  After all flowers die, memories last a lifetime!

Depending on what is raised we will intend on anything from a long weekend to a weeks getaway.

Please keep my mum and our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I hope to see you all at her final farewell, details are as follows:

•Service and burial to be held at Canley Crematorium, Coventry on the 6th March at10.00am.
•Please join us in celebrating my mums life after at the Phantom Coach,Coventry

Thank you all for reading ❤️xxx
