Educational trip to Washington DC

My name is Emily. I'm an 8th grade student at King's Jr High (Shoreline, WA). As an 8th grader I have the opportunity to visit Washington DC and Williamsburg, VA with some of my fellow classmates. The trip is facilitated by World Strides (see trip itinerary here).

My mom is a teacher (at my school) and my dad is a pastor, and the cost of my trip is more than their limited budget can handle. The cost for the trip alone is $3000, and I am asking for your help raising this amount. A payment of $1325 is due by January 16, but I have until April 1, 2018 to pay the remaining balance of $1675.

I would appreciate your help because this is a once in a life time educational opportunity. I value my education very much and think that this trip would be an invaluable experience, providing me an opportunity to learn about our nation's history and give me knowledge for future engagement for our national well-being.
