Bereavement Fund

Donation protected
On May 5, 2019 the Beal family made the heroic and life saving decision to donate the organs of their child.  Xander, 6, lost a quick battle to a rare form of strep, which has left their family devastated and needing the space and time to grieve their son, brother, grandson, and nephew.

This campaign is to give them some freedom, monetarily, to spend time with each other without worrying about needing to return to work too soon, to slowly integrate themselves back into the "real world," and to help pay for funeral and memorial expenses.  I do not believe any family is more deserving of some financial freedom to accomplish this than the Beals.

Their story has been shared on Facebook, and any amount, no matter how small, will help them to be able to take the time needed to grieve their sweet boy, taken too soon.

Courtney shared this post on her personal Facebook page, and her words bear more weight than mine ever could.  Please help by donating, it will be deeply appreciated by their immediate and extended family all of whom are grieving the loss as well.

**Courtney's Post**

I did not realize how much this would be shared by everyone so i will explain the story of Xander....

Tuesday afternoon he came home from school with a headache, vomiting, and fever but this was not is normal sick so I took him to the ER and they were not concerned about his headache only his nausea so we were sent home. Wednesday he only wanted to lay on the couch with eyes closed and by 4 am I woke him to give him Tylenol he looked at me, took it and I looked again and his eyes became dilated and fixed at which point he was scooped up thrown in the car with a wild drive to the ER where I ran with him in my arms and passed him off to the nurse. The ER said "this is textbook bacterial meningitis".   He was life flighted to another hospital and upon being assessed the doctor said she was very concerned and that this was life threatening.

He never woke up he was declared brain dead not even 48 hours later from a bacteria as simple as strep. My advice never ever let the medical experts suppress your momma instincts and love God with all your heart, he is what carries you through these moments when you are in a puddle on the floor. Xander could not fathom that everyone on this earth did not believe in God.  So in saying that, I’m sharing a picture of Xander's journey to OR for donation of his liver and kidneys....I’m also sharing the text we received from the transplant team:

Three lives saved and multiple lives forever changed because of your selfless decision for Xander to be a hero. I don't know how you did it, but thank you for giving others hope on your darkest day. It's been a honor to meet you and your family; I just wish it had been under different circumstances.

You all are also on the minds of the 3 families who have another chance with their loved ones because of Xander's gifts.

He saved the life of an 11 year old girl who lives in St. Louis with the gift of his liver.

His right kidney gave a 68 year old man from Illinois a second chance at life.

His left kidney was gifted to a 37 year old female from Oklahoma.”

Thank you for your support in presence, prayers, thoughts, energy and love to this beautiful family.
