On March 31, 2016 a tragic car accident occurred on Highway 78 in Wylie, Texas, which resulted in the deaths of a man and his two young children.
It is with deep, personal sadness that I inform you that the family members that passed away in yesterday’s accident were those of the LBJ Express Maintenance Manager, John Reneau: his son-in-law, who was a volunteer fireman; and two youngest grandchildren, ages 4 and 22 months.
We are very mindful that mere words cannot match the depths of John’s sorrow, nor can they heal his heart. But when we can communicate to John, we will let him know that whatever measure of comfort we can provide, we will provide –and that he is not alone.
This tragedy is a reminder that life is very fragile. And what matters at the end of the day is not the small things, which often consume us and our daily lives. Ultimately it’s what we hold dear: family, friends, how we choose to treat one another and how we love one another.
Many of us are not prepared to handle such traumatic events and this unexpected tragic event, took three lives. We know that there are many ways we can support John, but for now, we (LBJ Express and North Tarrant Express) have established a GoFundme effort to help him and his family in their time of need.
