Aimee's Healing Journey
Donation protected
I’m posting on behalf of my wonderful friend, Aimee McCabe Karr, Brooklyn momma to Travis (6) and Wesley (3), loving wife to Doug, entrepreneur, compassionate and kick ass yoga teacher, trail-blazing doula, cookie baker extraordinaire, and deeply kind soul. Aimee was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized breast cancer in early 2019. She is incredibly optimistic about fighting her cancer on the cellular and spiritual level and their amazing community of friends and family has already begun to surround them with a wellspring of love and support. She is seeking out treatments from both Eastern doctors and healers and being seen by the best in the West at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Together with being seriously hard work on physical, emotional and spiritual levels, they are learning that cancer is also expensive. It is taking significant resources for Aimee and her family to focus their efforts on clearing her cancer, as they face increasing costs including medical bills, transportation to and from the cancer center, childcare, nourishing foods, and alternative therapies, paired with life expenses and Aimee's (temporarily, but significantly) diminished capacity to support the neighborhood mommas who have relied on her for the last 10 years. If you've ever walked around Williamsburg with this Momma, you know how loved she is.
Aimee and her guys are grateful for any and all good vibes, healing energy, prayers and well wishes you can send their way as she gets through cancer treatment and on the road toward healing. If you are also able to make a financial contribution to ease the journey of Aimee and her guys, that would be an enormous help. They are thankful for donations of all sizes—every little bit helps!
Thank you so much for reading and watching, I'm confident the wide spread love of this beautiful woman and the power of our community can give Aimee and her family the help they need.
