Bathroom Remodel
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to enable St. John School to remodel the bathrooms in order to better protect the students and staff from COVID 19, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
St John School Bathroom Renovation Project plans to update each bathroom (2 main, 6 auxiliary) in the school so that we can better serve our students and teachers to keep them healthy and safe. As a result of the Covid19 pandemic, we urgently require replacements and improvements to our fixtures, fittings and water as we know that hand washing is paramount in mitigating contagion. In conjunction with these upgrades, we will take the opportunity to make the bathroom ADA assessable.
St. John Catholic School is a small school of 160 students nestled in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco. We are a Title 1 school and approximately 30% of our students need tuition assistance before the pandemic. St John’s goal is to create an environment where students can receive an exceptional education - morally, academically, spiritually, and physically, with diversity as its core. Our school’s motto is “Serviam” ( I will serve) and we nurture each child’s curiosity and skills so that they can become adults that make a positive contribution to the larger community and have the tools and confidence to confront the moral and social challenges of our complex society.
Our mission is to educate and nurture the spirituality of each student while fulfilling their highest academic potential. We prepare each student for a rapidly changing world by inspiring them to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and courageous leaders.
We have a strategic plan over the next 4 years that spans :
-Facilities upgrades
-Enhance and upgrade technology
-Increase enrollment to 300 students while maintaining our commitment to diversity.
Our short term facilities need right now is Bathroom Renovation. The current pandemic has highlighted some shortfalls that will help us keep our children and teachers healthy and safe. The bathrooms, which will experience much greater traffic due to hand washing, will need to be updated. As an example, we will need to put hot water in the bathrooms, which we currently do not have.
