<div>Hi I’m Amber and a week ago, I suffered a serious accident—I fell and broke both my leg and ankle. I was rushed to the ER, where X-rays revealed a torn ligament and multiple fractures in my tibia and fibula, with my tibia near the ankle essentially shattered. The injury is so severe that, even with surgery, it will never fully heal to what it once was.

<div>This has been a life-changing event. I’m now facing surgery and a long recovery period, and I’ve been unable to work since the accident. I was working two jobs while attending university full-time, but now I have no source of income. To make matters worse, I don’t have health insurance through my job, and I was recently informed I don’t qualify for short-term disability.

<div>Right now, I’m struggling to cover basic living expenses like rent and bills, and I have no way to pay for my ER visit, upcoming surgery, or the ongoing medical care I’ll need. I also have scratches all over my body and road rash on my hands which make it almost impossible to use my crutches. This has been an incredibly difficult and humbling time, and I’m reaching out with the hope that someone might be willing to help, even just a little.
