Broke Leg but Not Broken Spirit

On Thursday September 4, 2014 I was riding my bicycle to the gym as I approached an intersection where I thought the driver would stop -they didn't. I was hit by the car and saw my leg dangling below the knee which I subsequently learned was a tib/fib fracture.

I had surgery and now have a titanium rod in my leg and am told it will take possibly 3 to 6 months to heal.

The healing process is going to be expensive. I expect my medical fees to accrue to upwards of $60,000 including:

*Hospital fees and surgery - $45,000

*Physical Therapy - $6000

*Transportation - $1800
