To clear up a misconception, this fundraising page is not to pay for my trip, and this is not a vacation. All funds will go directly to AOC's project by providing resources they need. My trip to volunteer in Cambodia (including flights, accommodations, travel, etc.) will be paid for by myself. I am only raising funds because I believe in the project, and I know that others do as well. Every little bit helps, and its all accountable. If you feel any doubt, please don't hesitate to ask me to explain more.

In January 2015, I am teaming up with Living Hope Christian Fellowship to partner with Asian Outreach Cambodia through Hungry For Life International to head to the Lvea Em district in the Kandal Province of Cambodia. We will be working with the local NGO to support and reinforce relationships with the communities that are still recovering from the deep-seated insecurity, and worsening poverty caused by the Khmer Rouge Genocide that occurred in 1975. We will be assisting to alleviate the most immediate problems facing Cambodian women today: increasing gender violence, exploitation and poverty.

In order to fundraise for the resources we will be using in Cambodia, I am putting my Moustache up for this worthy cause. After two solid years of rockin the Mo', I have decided that should it go, this would be the most appropriate way. However, simply shaving it would bring great dismay to the many fans of the facial Hair. So to appease both crowds (the lovers and the haters), I am choosing the diplomatic solution by creating a poll. I will allow anyone to be a part of this historic vote to keep the moustache, or have it gone (potentially forever). For every donation of $20, you will have the ability to make a vote. Each multiple of 20 will get you another vote (ie. $100 gives you 5 votes). Your choices of voting are:
1- Shave it, keep clean for one year
2- Shave it, keep clean for 5 years
3- Shave it FOREVER
4- Keep it for 3 more years
BONUS- For every donation, I WILL MATCH IT. I have done my research into different NGO's, and I believe and have heard testimony of previous teams that have gone down. I truly believe the funds raised will support those in need.
Should you choose to donate multiple times, simply click Donate a different amount. If it comes to a multiple of 20, just write in the comment box what you want your vote to be towards. However all donations of any amount are welcomed and appreciated.

A culture of impunity that grew during the years of unrest continues to exacerbate corruption at all levels of the administration. My team and I will be flying down to assist in a Woman’s Empowerment Workshop; giving the resources and guidance for women to stand up against domestic violence, mentorship, providing livelihood training, help in developing their future plans and supporting their goals. We will also be providing practical skills by teaching English and online networking skills to all locals, as well as assisting in the building of two community centres and places of shelter for those in need.
