Erase School Lunch Debt

Lunch debt is a problem that plagues schools across the nation, and our charter school in St. Paul, Minnesota, is no exception. Most of our students qualify for Free or Reduced Price lunch, but a portion of students remain unable to apply or qualify. As a result, school lunch debt has accumulated.
Beginning next week, students with a negative lunch balance will be served cheese sandwiches for lunch. It is our passion and goal to avoid the social stigma and nutritional impacts of this alternative lunch practice.
