Jennifer Kaltenbach, "Jeni" to those who know her best, was diagnosed with lung cancer in December of 2013 following a routine visit for what was thought to be bronchitis. Shortly after her diagnosis she began treatment, agressively fighting the disease that had so abruptley invaded her body. Over the next 8 months Jeni has fought through both chemo and radiation, never losing her smile.
In July of 2014 Jeni was told that the cancer had spread to her brain, 5 different locations were affected, 2 in each lobe and 1 right in the center causing unbearable pain and nausea. Through this process Jeni's loving husband, Eric, took a leave of absence to stay home with her and care for the woman who lights his world. Since July Jeni has undergone intensive radiation to the brain tumors as well as the bone in her shoulder, also intruded upon by this horrific disease. In late August Jeni was told by her physician that her diagnosis was now terminal.
Jeni has chosen to continue treatment, ever hopeful that even though she may lose this battle, that it will give her more days with her love, Eric. Eric and Jeni currently have an overwhelming amount of medical bills that insurance has not and will not pay. This account has been set-up to help aleviate some of the stress that having an ever growing debt can cause. It is also to help prepare for and provide Jeni with a funeral. Any financial donation is appreciated more than you will ever know.
