PHILIPPINES TYPHOON RELIEF
Donation protected
I was born in the Philippines and left when I was 19. Once I arrived to the United States, I was able to see the abundance that was present here. When I was a child, we lost our house due to a typhoon, and I still remember the emptiness I felt when I saw only a piece of wood left remaining. I have felt hunger and I have felt loss. For these reasons, I thought to myself, I will go back when I retire and help the poor and those in need. Recently, I lost a dear friend suddenly at the same time a typhoon was hitting my hometown. Several homes have been destroyed and people’s lives have been greatly impacted. This past incident has made me realize why wait until I retire, why not start now? Tomorrow is not a promise. It took me a few days to create this account, but I was compelled to do so by the grace of God. I have faith that a small thing can make a difference, so I am asking for your help now. I have already purchased a ticket to the Philippines in February. Any donations will be used to purchase rice and groceries that I will personally deliver myself once I reach my goal. Thank you and may God bless you all!
