Rebekah's Surgery Fund

At the start of November, while serving on the mission field in Tanzania, Africa, Rebekah noticed a lump on the side of her neck. It was discovered that there was a 4 cm growing mass in the left side of her thyroid. This started a bevy of tests to determine whether it's benign or malignant, and whether the nodule (growth) is hot or cold. After tests in Nairobi, it was determined that the growth nodule was cold, meaning, it was no longer functioning as it should. This also meant that it needs to be removed as soon as possible, because even though it is likely benign, masses like this can turn malignant if left in the body. So, with this information, Rebekah is headed to the Surgery Center of Oklahoma for a partial thryroidectomy. This is a pay for service medical center and they can get her in promptly within the next two weeks. The cost for the surgery is $6,100, not including airfare, hotel before and after, and other expenses.  We are asking for your support and generosity to help us pay for this needed procedure as we simply do not have the money to afford this all on our own.  We are also hopeful to have this done promptly so Rebekah can return to Tanzania in time to celebrate Christmas with her husband and three little girls.
