Support Needed for a Fresh Start

I need a miracle.

I live with my mom and nephew. My mom is in poor health and is on a lot of meds, including for her heart. My house has been falling apart for a long time due to declining physical, mental, and financial health and stability. We’ve been limping along and just making the best of things but I’m at my last straw.

We’ve had a slab leak for ages that we can’t afford to fix.

We’ve needed a new roof for years.

The yard is horribly overgrown because we can’t afford a service and no one in the house can get out there and mow.

Our fridge is dying. Has died. Let’s be honest. I’ve been preparing meals out of our freezer for over 2

weeks because I can’t trust the fridge.

And now just in time for summer to hit us with record high temps, the air conditioning died. This evening it was 91 degrees inside, at almost 9pm.

I know there are atrocities across the world right now but we can’t live like this anymore and I need help. I need to get us into other housing- ideally an apartment but my credit is poor (see above) as is my mom’s. She’s been trying to dodge foreclosure and now I look around and wonder why. The replies are going to cost more than the structure is worth.

I work. I work a lot already and my income and my mom’s social security aren’t enough anymore. I’m going to look into a second job and start selling plasma to scrape something together. I don’t know what else to do but I can’t — we can’t — live like this anymore.
