Surviving Stroke

Donation protected
The photo above is probably one of the last times my mom was able to to dance, smile, and enjoy the little things so many of us take for granted. That smile is the reason I'm starting a fund raising campaign to help my parents with the mounting medical bills that are a result of my Mom's stroke and subsequent seizures.

My parents are in rural Wisconsin. Access to top notch healthcare is difficult. Family members are scattered across the country which limits their ability to really be there, to help in any way. My dad, a superhero in my eyes growing up, has solidified his status as he is now both bread winner and primary care giver to his bride.

It's been heavy on my heart knowing my mom is deteriorating slowly after her initial stroke last year and my dad is doing everything in his power to care for her, their home, and lastly himself. My parents had excellent healthcare insurance while my mom was still working and now their insurance is limited and costly as she is unable to work.

Anyone who knows my mom knows that hope, faith and prayer have been my mom's guiding light. I know in my heart how difficult it is to ask for help, and my parents have never once asked me for anything. With that...

I'm turning to you, friends, family, and those who we are yet to know for some help. My goal is to help ease the stress of the mounting bills from her hospital visits and medication require to regulate the seizures.

Thank you for taking the time to read my mom's story.
