Dear friends and partners in the Gospel ministry of Christ,

For those of you who may not know me personally, I am from Siliguri, India. For years I served as missions coordinator at the Leadership Training Center, that was started by Rev. Peter Kashung. I planned short-term mission trips to India and Nepal for organizations like East-West Ministries and e3 Partners. As I served, I saw a great need for more Christian leaders in my home country. I felt God calling me be a part of raising Christian leaders in India and Nepal. Specially, I have been called to teach and train young leaders to more efficiently and effectively spread the Gospel to the lost.

While serving in India, I prayed for a theological education. God heard my prayer. I shared my calling with someone on one of the short-term missions I led. God answered my prayers- partially through the assistance of Terri Heard who told me about her beloved Baylor University and arranged for me to meet with the seminary there. In 2008, I moved my wife and 7 year old son to Waco, Texas to pursue a Masters of Divinity.

While studying at Baylor, in addition to having two more sons, The Lord revealed to me that I would need a higher level degree to be able to go back to India and teach ministers at the Masters level. Rather than having additional travel expenses, my family decided to endure even more homesickness and start my Ph.D right away.

Again, God answered my prayers and I'm currently enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Fort Worth, Texas, where I'm perusing a Ph.D in Missions. I have completed one year of that degree.

After graduating, I will return back to India to bring hope for the lost souls. I will be teaching and training national, indigenous leaders and pastos to reach out the lost souls by training and equipping them. India currently has only 3.7% of Christian population. We need to train more leaders and pastors. They have very little access to seminary education. We need more well trained Christian leaders and pastors with a vision of reaching the whole India for Christ. We can do this together.

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary recently informed me that due to extenuating circumstances, they are unable to give me a scholarship this year.

So, I am asking for you to partner with me in taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost in India and Nepal. I currently work 20 hours a week and go to school full time. Whatever I earn covers only the monthly expenses for my family of 5. My tuition fee is $5,000 per semester.

Would you please pray and consider giving whatever amount God puts in your heart for my education. I also request your prayers for my ministry when I return to India. That I will be well-equipped to educate Christian leaders desperate for the gospel, and that their ministries will bear much fruit.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
