On September 7, 2014, the sisters and brothers of Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Chi will be hosting KICKOFF a community soccer tournament--to benefit two important philanthropic causes. As passionate and active members of the campus community at American University, this year’s tournament is expected to bring together 350 individuals across the student body representing members of every community on campus.
Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Chi are passionate about making change. Through this event, we will focus our efforts to support two admirable organizations that historically have affected members of our AU Community; My Sister’s Place and the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. The Jimmy V Foundation supports critical cancer research in honor of NC St. Univ. Basketball Coach, Jim Valvano. My Sister’s Place is a domestic violence shelter located here in DC that provides a safe space for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. By bringing together college students to compete in we seek to raise money and awareness for these two groups and we need your help.
