Support for Sheri DiFazio

After 22 years together and 18 years married, Sheri DiFazio suddenly and tragically lost her husband and the love of her life Mike DiFazio on Aug 29th while on vacation with family. The shock and the pain that accompanies this loss has been nearly unbearable.

Mike was a remarkable husband, dad, "Pop", "Papa", godfather, uncle and dear friend who's passing leaves a giant hole in the lives of many. He loved spending time with those he loved, stoking a nice campfire, and playing bass as if he were the newest member of Judas Priest.

In the days leading up to Mike's passing he repeatedly shared how fantastic each day had been and how he was having the best of times while vacationing with family.  It is a comfort to know that while we solemnly mourn over his tragic passing he spent his days enjoying every moment until it was his last.

Anyone who knows Sheri (our mother/mother-in-law) knows that she has a heart like no other. She will drop everything to come to the aid of anyone she holds dear to her. She would sacrifice her feelings and needs to be there for ours. That is why she needs us now.

While she would never dream of asking for help from any of us, it falls to us to reach out for her. Sheri, a beloved waitress extraordinaire , does not receive paid time off or bereavement leave. It weighs down my heart to think that should feel any pressure to return to work sooner than is right for her emotionally. Her entire life has been taken off the train track that it had been heading and placed on another unknown path.

It is our hope that this fund will help with the memorial costs and help Sheri with the coming bills, living expenses and the unforeseen expenses that are headed her way while out of work.

If you can help in any way, your kind generosity is much appreciated. The overwhelming outflow of love, calls, messages and prayers for our family has been truly remarkable! Thank you!

Please continue to pray for peace and comfort in this time and I encourage you share any worship songs or comforting songs/lyrics that we can put together as a playlist for Sheri. Music has helped.

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Thank you all,
Mackenzie and Shanni
