Texas Pit Crew - Sisk's Surgery

Sisk was dumped on a country road in the heat and left to die. Texas Pit Crew was alerted after he was spotted and we immediately found him and took him to the vet for a check up and shots. It was obvious that there were severe issues with his legs. The vet encouraged us to take him to a specialist. During the appointment with the specialist, we learned that he has a birth defect with his legs that will eventually cripple him to the point of being permanently immobile and a lifetime of arthritic pain. Surgery will not only improve his quality of life but extend his life span. His surgery can only be paid for with tax deductible donations from our supporters. His initial surgery will cost approximately $6000 to $7000. Post op appointments and potential complications could cost an additional $3000. Because we are a non profit organization, we do not have the funds for surgery......not even close. With your help, we hope to raise the funds needed to ensure Sisk has a long and happy life. Some people may ask, "why spend so much money on one dog when that amount could help so many more?". Our reason......so many people have fallen in love with him and have expressed a desire to specifically contribute to his surgery. How could we say no if the public supplies the funds?

Any money raised above the cost of the surgery will go towards other dogs in our rescue. In the unfortunate event that we do not raise enough money to cover the surgery, any money donated will be used towards the care of current and future rescues in need.
