Angels needed...

Our names are Eric and Elise LeClair, and we've been married for almost five years.  As a husband, business owner, and Veteran I'll be honest by saying that asking for help does not come easy to me; however, I can recognize when I'm incapable of solving a problem...and nothing crushes me more than watching Elise's heart break over and over.

I’m generally very private about stuff, but a few years back Elise and I opened up to friends and family regarding our struggles with pregnancy and our failed IUIs and IVFs. Many of you know we suffered 5 back-to-back miscarriages and have been on a ridiculous roller coaster of emotional, physiological, and financial frustration. Quite literally a horrible last three years.

What many of you may not know, was that we had decided to explore foster/adopt options this last year while taking a break after the last miscarriage. We were luckily matched with an expectant mother who sounded like she checked all the boxes. We followed all the rules, aligned ourselves with an agency and started the process of home studies, interviews, and background checks. We were approved to meet the family and so we traveled up north to do just that. We struck a home run and all parties moved forward...that was until the expectant mother backed out. Elise and I were crushed.

So we took a long break...and while “leaving it alone” the topic of surrogacy came up numerous times. We researched and talked to all our friends that had successful surrogacy pregnancies...and then, as if out of the blue, a private women volunteered to accept our last two embryos and be our family's heavily needed surrogate. We told all parties involved that we were NOT interested unless she was 100% “in”....well, she was until last week. Crushed. Again.

5 miscarriages
1 failed adoption
1 failed surrogacy

We get it...people can change their mind...and that’s the risk we take, but that doesn’t heal the pain, disappointment, and failure that we’re feeling.

In the last week, we shared the above story and were astounded by not only the national, but the international support we received.  Hundreds of people reached out, and we had 23 direct offers for help.  Sadly we had to say "no thank you" to so many wonderful women, couples, and friends that lived out of state, out of country, or were incompatible to our medical surrogacy needs.

As luck would have it, we have been offered another round of surrogacy, this time with an agency, a healthy surrogate, and a medical team that is second to none.

We were asked by hundreds of folks:
"How can we help"?"
"What do you need?"
"How can we get involved?"

We know so many loving and caring friends that do want to help, that do want to get involved, and that do want to contribute to creating a life that we can no longer say "no thank you".  We're creating this fundraising opportunity to help off-set the exorbitant medical and legal fee structure that is required to create life through surrogacy.  Your donation to our cause will directly tie you to our future child's life.

We would like you to be a part of this journey with us; however,  we have a compressed time-frame with which we'll need to generate sufficient funds to move forward.   Please feel free to participate in our campaign as well as share our struggles with your friends, family, and others that may be moved to help.

Thank you for consideration, thoughts, and prayers!
