Tilly's Surgery

Hey all! 

First off, thank you for taking the time to read through this. My dear cat, Tilly was found to have a mass under her tongue, concerning for squamous cell cancer, which is the most common oral tumor in cats. She is only 5 years old, which makes this a little less likely, but the only way we can be sure, is with a biopsy. 

At the very least, I feel it my duty to try to find out what this is before making any other treatment decisions. Tilly has been with me through most of medical school and has been an incredibly loyal companion. After a long days work, she is at the door, ready to greet me. My feet are forever kept warm with her has my nighttime heater.  And as if my heart wasn't enough, she has stolen many of my friends and family from me, with her infectious purr and loving rubs. I love her immensely and I want to do the best that I am able to do, for her.

I am currently a 4th year medical student on the interview trail for residency. Needless to say, this expenditure would literally break the bank. I am reaching out to my friends and family, as well as the greater Interent community, and am humbly asking for assitance in getting Tilly the care she needs. 

The $2,000 request would cover her visit, medications and her surgery, which is scheduled for November 7th (Tuesday). The vets are hopeful they can completely remove the mass and obtain a pathology report within the week, which would further dictate her possible treatment needs.
