Funeral and home expenses

On March 28th my mother passed away quite unexpectedly. She went into the hospital for swelling on her legs. The doctors had said that amputation was a definite and I was faced with a decision at the time whether or not to go ahead with it since it could possibly end her life right there. After a few more tests were done over the next couple of days we learned that amputation was no longer an option. The swelling had done so much damage to her legs and paired with complication with diabetes and numerous other health problems her legs just had no chance of healing. Best option was hospice at this point. On March 27th around 6:00p.m. she went up to hospice and on March 28th at 1:50p.m. after years of battling with sickness and pain she passed away.
After the funeral it has taken a toll on us both mentally and financially. Having not been prepared for this, it has taken most of everyone's savings and there is still so much more to pay for. Such as a headstone for our mother, I will also be taking over the house which is in desperate need of renovations and as well as I will be taking care of my little brother and sister. All of these donations will be handled by me (Rafael) in order to put them where they are most needed. My mother was such a loving soul and cared for others more than she did for herself.
