From Dysphoria to Euphoria!
My name is Remus Andrew. I'm 20 years old transgender man. I'm trying to fund my top surgery so that I can finally live my best life and continue perusing my dreams. In order to continue my dreams, I need to get these things off my chest.
I came out as a trans male in the autumn of 2014 to a few trusted friends and family members after talking to a counselor about my issues with my gender. After it became apparent that “No, you’re not supposed to feel like that,” she told me a term that I would learn to hold dear: Transgender. I finally had a term that fit me like a perfectly tailored suit.
Ever since I came out, I’ve been working hard to medically transition into the man that I know I can be. I saved up my first paycheck to buy a chest binder and I haven’t stopped since. I started my quest to begin HRT in May of 2018 and met some pushback unfortunately, but a little over a year later, I was finally able to. I started HRT on July 11th, 2019 and have never felt more myself. Now, my gender dysphoria continues to rise regarding my chest even with the help of HRT and binding to masculinize myself.
In order to rectify that, I’m looking to get Top Surgery to get these off my chest and continue to live the best way that I can. I’ve been incredibly lucky in the past to help fund other transgender folks' surgeries before and now I am in need of assistance. In order to fund my top surgery, I set up this GoFundMe.
