Did you know that suicide is the highest cause of death for young people aged 15-24?
In Australia, 39% of all deaths in this age bracket are by suicide, 25% are car and transport accidents and 36% are from other circumstances.
It is time to take action!!!
Because of these statistics, Dynamic Breathwork have joined forces with ALIVE Project and Lululemon to bring change.
Over the next 12 months, Dynamic Breathwork will be holding a series of events at various locations around Melbourne. These events will be FREE for all participants, with the hope that attendees will donate to the program.
EVENT 1: Sunday November 10th, 2 breathwork classes
10:30am & 12 noon
The aim is to provide fully funded support to our youth, to promote improved mental health.
Our youth can gain fully funded access to the program by a referral from their GP or Psychologist.
All proceeds from the event will be split 50/50 between the Dynamic Breathwork Program and the ALIVE school programs.
ALIVE is a community-driven organisation of people and partners committed to end youth suicide. Inspiring and supporting young Australians at risk of suicide to feel alive and ultimately choose life through the engagement of our suicide intervention support services and initiatives.
Their mission is to reduce and ultimately eliminate youth suicide. We are experiencing a frightening epidemic here in Australia, and their aim is to provide education, and intervention where suicide is a risk and prevent it.
Their purpose is to work collaboratively as a community providing education to aid suicide prevention and support directly to those young people identified at risk of suicide. Helping them create a life worth living for.
For those of you that are new to Breathwork - Breathwork is a New Age, umbrella term, for various breathing practices in which the conscious control of breathing is said to influence a persons mental, emotional and/or physical state, with a claimed therapeutic effect and improvement in well being.
Lets join together and help our youth and future generations THRIVE!!
