Dylan’s medical costs

Our son, Dylan, was born on August 6th at 26 wks and 5 days due to complications. Since the very first week of his life, he had to fight to stay with us. He had developed a gut infection that nearly killed him. Dylan surprised everyone and recovered. He had major surgery on his intestines, had a broviac put in and a gtube. Through all of this, he is a champ and never stopped fighting. He continued to get sick without any reasons to why. All tests results came back negative. Just last week he had made tremendous strides and looking to do surgery at an earlier date. We hoped with all of this, he would be able to come home sooner. I held him on Saturday and didn’t foresee him getting sick. On Sunday October 15th, he had turned for the worse. We were able to hold him during his final moments. He felt our love for him and he knew he would never be alone.

My sweet boy has touched our hearts and his smile was so infectious. He has made an impression on everyone he met. For 69 days, he fought for his life and to be with his mommy and daddy. We never saw this as his end result, we were very hopeful. He is a brave and strong boy. Dylan has given me so much in such a short time. Heaven has gained my precious son as an angel. He is no longer in pain and God will take good care of him. We will one day see him again, for now he will watch over us and keep us safe. We are so blessed that God had chosen us to be his guardians on earth even if it was for a short while.
