Those of you that know me will know what an inspirational mum I have. For those that don’t know, my mum has battled cancer twice within the space of 12 years but has never once let this hold her back. Working with the NHS, as a teacher, as full time mum to three kids and all of this whilst fighting her own personal battles with illness. Watching her take on these challenges and conquering every one has inspired me to challenge myself for her and for all those who suffer or have suffered with cancer. As much as I gain my inspiration from my mum, it isn’t only her who inspires me. Having experienced the effects it has on loved ones and those around the suffering individual, I know the impact cancer can have on everyone involved. Therefore, I am setting a personal challenge of running 5 kilometres every day for the next year in order to raise money for cancer research UK to help all of those in need.
I am starting my challenge with a 5k at Silverstone circuit on the 10th of October. As well as this, I will be taking part in Tough Mudder in April 2022 and will hold a charity fundraising dinner next October. I would love to run with various people throughout the year so if you fancy a 5k run then let me know and we can run in person or link up in Strava.
Please make a donation here for as much as you can afford.
