Sicher Family Fundraiser

On August 31, 2014, three of Debbie and Jeremiah (Jerry) Sicher's children were involved in an ATV accident.  Danika, 13, injured her left hand (still waiting to know if it is fractured or just sprained), Dawson, 10, was taken by ambulance as a precaution due to potential broken ribs and neck injuries, to find out later he has bruised ribs, mild whiplash and a concusion, and Mackenzie, 11, sustained dibilitating injuries to her foot, losing 80% of the skin from the top of her foot and ankle, serverd nerves, 25 compound fractures in her foot, 4 dislocated and broken toes, and a broken collar bone as well as many cuts, scrapes and bruises. She was taken by Care Flight from the scene of the accident to Children's Medical Center of Dallas where they were able to get her in to surgery to clean the wound and place pins and rods and put her foot back together as best as they could.  She has a long road to recovery with many surgeries in the near future to continue cleaning the wound and asessing and "fixing" the injury. Doctors said they are looking at a 2 week stay at Children's.  
The family were all there when the accident happened and grief counseling as well as hours of physical therapy will be needed.
***The exact total for medical bills is unknown at this time, once we know what insurance won't cover we will have a better idea of expenses.  But looking at CareFlight and Ambulance transport as well as the xrays, surgeries, hospital stays and everything that goes with that, we know the medical expenses will be Gargantuous.
