STORY:  On June 2, 2019,  Dwight had accident which resulted in two emergency craniotomy surgeries to stop life-threatening brain bleed.   We had several weeks of ICU, hospital room, rehab hospital, back to ER, hospital room, rehab, and much prayers, and miraculously there does not appear to be permanent damage, he seems to be on the way to full recovery!   

FUNDS:   Out-of-pocket medical expense on his insurance plan is $7,900 [see 7/31/19 update, changed to $2,400].   He ran out of Vacation/Sick Leave at end of June so needs income replacement of $1400/month for July and potentially August [see 7/31/19, no need to cover August, Dwight returned to work August 1].  Dwight is on limited income but is the kind of guy who will never ask for help even if it takes him the rest of his life to pay up the bills.   Loving family & friends, let's ensure that burden is not on his back!

UPDATE 7/24/2019:  Dwight has finished rehab and was able to return home this last weekend, which made him Happy Happy Happy!  He is not yet able to return to work but we are hopeful the neurosurgeon will give that ok in a few weeks.  Dwight's brain had shifted 13mm during the incident and it's taking awhile for it to shift back to neutral position so he is on heavy anti-seizure meds.  Fortunately he is not in any pain! He is working hard on building up his walking distance, his main problem now is that he is quite bored with sitting around and so is very much looking forward to getting clearance to go back to work.

UPDATE 7/31/2019:  Today the neurosurgeon has released Dwight to return to light-duty work, and his employer is happy to accommodate that, Dwight is very excited!  We also have reduced insurance amounts down to $2,400, so combining that with the $1,400 July income replacement gives an lowered financial need of $3,800.  So I have updated the GoFundMe goal amount accordingly.  We are coming to the end of the long tunnel, praise the Lord!
