I finally got a Kidney Transplant!
I was born with a Genetic kidney disease which has afflicted my grandmother, father, uncles and aunts, my bother and myself. I have been feeling sick with the effects since my 20s. Most recently I have been in complete kidney failure and on Dialysis for the past 6 years.
On April 23rd 2019, after much waiting I got the call From Mayo that a kind family had lost their loved one and had donated their organs and the kidney was a match to me! Please Join me in thanking God for this blessing and pray my body will accept this kidney!
I have been blessed with a loving wife, 2 step sons and chose not to have my own children to stop the disease.
Due to many illness and Doctor appointments as well as dialysis 3 days a week I have only been able to work part time. When able I worked 3 days a week and went to dialysis 3 days a week. After the transplant I won’t be able to work for 3 to 4 months due to the many appointments for follow up and recovery.
We have carried insurance, but it does not covered all the expenses for the many hospital stays, Dr. appointments, tests and prescription co pays. We have depleted my wife’s 401k to handle this for the last 6 years. Out of network deductibles will be $16000. Transplants aren’t done at all hospitals. I have never asked for help before, but I ask that you bless my family with your gifts toward my medical expenses. If you are not able too I understand. Your prayers are appreciated.
